Effective 29 October 2026. How we record private events, agree publicity permissions and respond to your preferences.
Private memories and public work
We capture weddings and events for the people who book us. Making their private films and pictures is a different purpose from using someone’s image to promote ByYaalu.
A booking signature, an invitation or a sign at the venue does not give us automatic permission to use every guest in marketing. Our publication policy uses separate, specific permissions for identifiable publicity, with additional care for children and personal interviews. You can decline publicity without losing the booked event coverage.
Let us know what matters to you
Please tell the host or contact [email protected] or +45 28 43 53 32 if you have a concern about recording, private sharing or public use. If possible, tell us before the event, preferably at least 24 hours ahead, so we can plan. You may also contact us during or after the event; your rights do not expire at that deadline.
Explain whether your concern is about being recorded, appearing in the private delivery, a particular public platform or all marketing. These are different restrictions. We may ask for a minimal identifying description and, only where necessary, agree a secure way to receive a reference photograph. Do not send sensitive information or identification pictures through the ordinary enquiry form.
We cannot promise to avoid every incidental background recording. We can plan camera positions, take reasonable care and assess objections and removal requests. A person excluded from marketing may still appear in a lawful private event delivery, subject to the specific circumstances and their rights.
A separate choice for each use
Permission for our website/portfolio, organic social posts, paid advertising, reviews and Memoria extracts is recorded separately. We identify the material, channels, intended use and period. A choice is voluntary and is not preselected.
For children, we check the relevant parental responsibility and take account of the child’s maturity and wishes. We do not assume that any adult attending with a child can authorise commercial use. Where authority is disputed, publication waits for proper clarification.
Personal messages in Memoria
Memoria brings voluntary interviews together in one edited private film. Unedited interviews are included in the agreed raw material and delivered to the named private recipients, normally within 24–48 hours after the event. Participants are told before recording who receives both the edited film and the original interview clips, and what family sharing is intended. The raw clips are not separately edited finished films. They may skip questions, pause or decline to participate. Private participation is not permission to publish an interview extract.
Please avoid revealing another person’s health, religious beliefs or intimate family circumstances. Your own permission cannot authorise every detail about someone else. Download access is 60 calendar days from final complete delivery and notification. Production retention is six calendar months from the date when the last part of the complete agreed delivery has been sent and actually made available to the client. Earlier partial deliveries remain downloadable throughout the full 60-day period, with free secure replacement links if needed. Required earlier deletion and specific legal claims are assessed separately. Memoria is not a promise of lifelong hosting or a twenty-year archive.
Changing your mind or raising a concern
If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us without a fee. This does not change whether earlier processing was lawful. We stop future consent-based use, review existing copies and take appropriate removal steps. We cannot guarantee that every independent copy made by others can be recalled.
Send a relevant link, event reference or description if you have one; these help us find the material but are not a condition for considering your request.
